In addition to the trading challenges with famous traders the MoneyExpo - as every year – offers business-meetings for interested investors. Especially big investors are welcome who want to inform about Czech economy, that is having a big boom. For the first time there will be attending also representatives from Warsaw Stock Exchange.
Topics: Pension reform and Financial transaction tax (FTT) This year the main topic for MoneyExpo Prague will be the pension reform. Another very important topic that is mainly discussed at the stand of Directa – one of the biggest Italian Online-Broker - is the Financial transaction tax. The so called FTT is hotly discussed in Europe as some countries already decided to introduce it. So did also Italy and starting from 1st of March the investors have to pay 0,1 % tax on any overnight-trade with Italian shares on the stock market. But is it really the source of income that Italian politics are expecting? The Directa-CEO Mario Fabbri explains: „We realized that the daily taxammount our clients pay is on average 10.000 Euro. If you gross up this amount for a year you will get round about three million Euro.“ Directa holds 25 per cent of the complete Italian stock market, but only three per cent of it regard the Overnight-Trades, that have to be taxed. „Considering that the Italian goverment expects to receive one billion out of this tax, I ask myself where they want to find the remaining money.“
Directa discusses about fairtrading: „Greed is good“? „Greed is good!“, said already finance-mogul Gordon Gecko in the film „Wallstreet“. His trading philosophy seems at the first glance to be a stimulation for an efficiently working market. But nowerdays, as extremy fluctuating prices rule the markets, which seem to be widely diconnected from the real economic activities, the two words „stimulation“ and „market-control“ have to be reconsidered. Directa-CEO Mario Fabbri will follow a discussion about this topic involving interested visitors, journalists, economic professors and professional traders.
