Continuous development of their network is the only way an Internet services provider is capable of keeping up with the current development and the needs its clients have. Such is the philosophy of Coolhousing who, as of last week, introduced in its network a new provider of international connectivity, Core Backbone.
The network Coolhousing operates has been designed to provide adequate performance, operational reliability and security from various types of hacker attacks, including attempts for DoS, Denial of Service, attacks. This is the reason for redundancy connection of both collocation centres of the company: the Coolhousing data centre at Vinohradská avenue and the CE Colo telehouse at Nad Elektrárnou street.
Each of the locations operates a proprietary link to the country's peering node of NIX.CZ, which connects also to the exclusive, secure network of trusted providers FENIX, of which Coolhousing is a member. The Coolhousing data centre is connected abroad via the operators Dial Telecom and Fast Communication as well as via a direct connection into peering nodes in Germany and the Netherlands. Coolhousing's technology at CE Colo has been recently connected to abroad via Core Backbone and directly into peering nodes in Slovakia.
Core Backbone is one of Europe's leading providers of transit connectivity. It currently provides a capacity of 380Gbps to Tier 1 providers, 860Gbps to smaller, private providers and operates more than 10 ports in public peering nodes in Europe (including NIX.CZ) and the USA; none of them are slower than 10Gbps.
"Purchase of transit connectivity from Core Backbone is another strategic decision taken as part of our planning of further development of our network. As our capabilities and capacities are increasing, we are acquiring a rising number of clients offering services on an international scale, for which reason they require exceptional international connectivity," explains Jiří Dvořák, Sales Manager at Coolhousing.
Connection to the Core Backbone international connectivity was conducted without any failure in customer services on Monday, 17 August. The adequate line is currently being used at 10% of its capacity, offering sufficient reserve for the increasing needs of Coolhousing customers.
