BURGER KING(R) is set to make an impressive opening in the Czech Republic today, by opening a new restaurant in Prague’s historic Florenc bus terminal. The opening coincides with the reopening of the newly refurbished terminus to mark its 100th anniversary and will be attended by the Mayor of Prague amongst other dignitaries.
Following its initial success in Prague, the company, famous for its iconic Whopper(R) burger, is set to take the city by storm. BURGER KING(R) opened its first restaurant in the Czech marketplace only 6 months ago.
The new restaurant at Florenc bus terminal will be operated by franchisee BK Team and will serve up the trademark Whopper(R) as well as other world-class burgers to hungry commuters and shoppers. The busy and iconic terminal has been welcoming thousands of both national and international arrivals to the city for a century.
Thomas Berger, Division Vice President Central Europe, BURGER KING(R) said: “We’re making a big impact with the opening at the historic station and we’re looking forward to a great deal of success over the coming year with our partnerships with BK Team. We’re very proud to be generating employment in the local area and look forward to opening our doors to the public.”
The Whopper(R) is one of the world’s favourite burgers, made of 100 % pure flame grilled beef and fresh ingredients like lettuce, tomatoes and onions. The iconic Whopper(R) was created by BURGER KING(R) in 1957 and has since been served to customers in 74 countries worldwide.
