Submissions for the 2008 EFIC-Grunenthal Grant will be accepted by 31st May 2008. This annual grant of € 100,000 is awarded in co-operation with the European Federation of Chapters of the International Association for the Study of Pain (EFIC) EFIC and the pharmaceutical company Grunenthal GmbH. The grant is aimed at supporting young scientists in carrying out innovative and exploratory clinical pain research in projects in any country with an IASP chapter within EFIC (see http://www.EFIC.org).
Research Grants are intended for clinical and human experimental research projects on the subject of pain. Research proposals on animals, computer simulations etc. will not be considered.

The decision on the awarding of grants is made entirely by the EFIC Research Committee, consisting of internationally renowned specialists in the field of Pain Science and Medicine. The winners will be announced in summer 2008.
