Sports.com and Orad Hi-Tec Systems Announce Internet Deal

Sports.com (http://www.sports.com ), the most visited European sports site, and Orad Hi-Tec Systems (Neuer Markt: OHT - news) (http://www.orad.co.il ) have teamed to bring Orad's VirtuaLive(TM) software to Sports.com. The deal is composed of an annual license and an advertising revenue sharing model. VirtuaLive converts video of actual sports highlights into 3D animations that can be instantly viewed interactively over the Internet using Orad's proprietary camera and object tracking technologies. The animations may be found at http://www.football.sports.com/orad . This is the first major Internet project launched by Orad's new Internet Division, recently established following an agreement between Intel and Orad for joint development and enhancement of the next generation of sports webcasting. The Division's plans include giving the sports fan a complete interactive experience on the Internet, from real-time statistics to 3D "immersion" in an event, opening a window for new on-line sponsorships and e-commerce & merchandising opportunities. "We are looking forward towards our cooperation with Sports.com," said Dr. Miky Tamir, Orad's Executive Vice- President. "The launch of VirtuaLive will be followed in the near future by LIVE football webcasting using Orad's newly developed technologies. Imagine watching a football match in real-time using compelling 3D graphics from any viewpoint, for example, that of a favorite player. We believe this is the future of sports webcasting." "For the first time, football fans visiting our site will be able to view highlighted events in a full 3D interactive environment," said Thomas Jessiman, Managing Director of Sports.com. "We have the best coverage of European football at Sports.com and VirtuaLive is a critical addition."
