conVISUAL Enables Every Mobile Phone to Send Mobile Picture Postcards / conVISUAL unveils new Visual Messaging applications for current and next-generation mobi

For the first time, multimedia picture messages can be sent from every mobile phone. At the Nokia "Mobile Communications Seminar" (taking place from March 5 to 10 in Zell am See, Austria), conVISUAL is presenting the first messaging application that permits multimedia postcards to be sent on the basis of current and future messaging formats: the Mobile Picture Postcard. Dr. Thomas Wolf, CEO of conVISUAL: "With the Mobile Picture Postcard, conVISUAL paves the way for a new level of messaging quality. Our objective is to offer applications that illustrate the advantages of the coming GPRS and UMTS networks." Network operators and service providers can thus implement services that are already geared to the multimedia mobile communications future and that deliver the best possible result for all mobile phones - both for today's mobile phones and the devices of tomorrow. The Mobile Picture Postcard can be used very simply via SMS: The mobile greeting messages are triggered with a text command. conVISUAL's Multimedia Message Broker uses the text to generate a visual message that is fully compatible with the recipient's mobile phone: On current Nokia phones the image is displayed as a Picture- SMS (Smart Messaging format). The new Enhanced Messaging phones to be unveiled at the CeBIT computer fair will display the greetings as an animated postcard - for example, love messages with a pounding heart. With its Mobile Picture Postcard for the new Nokia Communicator 9210, conVISUAL is providing a glimpse of things to come in the world of multimedia communications. The text command triggers a colour postcard that can be turned at the click of a button. The personal greeting text is displayed on the back of the high-resolution picture postcard. The first steps into the multimedia future are thus already a reality. conVISUAL - the home of Visual Messaging Services. conVISUAL is the first Wireless Application Service Provider focusing on the realization of Visual Messaging Services.
