Visteon Builds Engineering Expertise in Asia Pacific Region With Purchase of Naldec

Dearborn, Mich. (PROTEXT) - Visteon Automotive Systemscontinues to build an expert portfolio of internationalengineering and production capability with the purchase of NaldecCorporation in Hiroshima, Japan. Naldec engineers and manufactures advanced electronic body andsafety vehicle modules. Acquisition of the corporation allowsVisteon to establish a manufacturing and technical base in Japanthat will be leveraged throughout the Asia Pacific Region. Visteon purchased 100 percent of Naldec from Mazda MotorCorporation for an undisclosed sum. Currently, the majority ofNaldec's sales are to Mazda. Naldec's manufacturing plant in Hiroshima producesapproximately 4 million air bag, antilock brake, keyless entry,speed control and other electrical modules annually. Thecorporation employs approximately 220 people, including about 70engineers.
