Submissions for the 2008 EFIC-Grunenthal Grant

Aachen (Germany) 21 April (PROTEXT/ots) - Submissions for the 2008EFIC-Grunenthal Grant will be accepted by 31st May 2008. This annual grantof € 100,000 is awarded in co-operation with the European Federation ofChapters of the International Association for the Study of Pain (EFIC) EFICand the pharmaceutical company Grunenthal GmbH. The grant is aimed atsupporting young scientists in carrying out innovative and exploratoryclinical pain research in projects in any country with an IASP chapterwithin EFIC (see http://www.EFIC.org).
Research Grants are intended for clinical and human experimental researchprojects on the subject of pain. Research proposals on animals, computersimulations etc. will not be considered.

The decision on the awarding of grants is made entirely by the EFICResearch Committee, consisting of internationally renowned specialists inthe field of Pain Science and Medicine. The winners will be announced insummer 2008.
