Starnet Sued by Las Vegas Casino, Inc. for One Billion

Dollars Vancouver, British Columbia (PROTEXT) - Las Vegas Casino,Inc., an Internet-based online casino company that is Starnet'sbiggest licensee for its "turnkey" casino games, is suing StarnetCommunications International, Inc. for $1 billion. Starnet Communications International Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board:SNMM) (Berlin: SNM) has a wholly owned subsidiary, Softec SystemsCaribbean, Inc. which is also being sued. Starnet is also listedon the Berlin Stock Exchange on the Over-The-Counter market underthe symbol SNM. Las Vegas Casino, Inc. is claiming damages for a verysubstantial number of breaches of agreement. According to acompany spokesman from Las Vegas Casino, Inc., "This company alsoclaims that Starnet has too many grave irregularities in theiraccounting systems, too many serious bugs in their software;their technical and e-cash support is extremely deficient, withvery serious problems such as massive over-billing of credit cardaccounts. "Starnet is also refusing to supply the proper accountingrecords they must supply under the license agreement. Theauditors simply cannot do their work in these deplorableconditions. Las Vegas Casino, Inc. has received thousands ofcomplaints from its clients, saying that Starnet's software andthe company itself, and its subsidiaries were the worst they haveever known. "Starnet's highest management has admitted in writing thatthese problems were real, and this evidence of numerousadmissions will be presented to the courts as early as nextweek." In an e-mail received by Las Vegas Casino, Inc.'s managementin December 1998, Chairman and Chief Financial Officer JackCarley had responded to previous complaints made by Las VegasCasino, Inc. as follows: "If I could, I'd fire them all (Starnetstaff) and start over," a remark that failed to satisfy, lessenor ameliorate what appeared to be a number of severe problemsthat Starnet was experiencing with regard to the viability andintegrity of the service it was purportedly offering to itsclients.
