Standard & Poor's Announces Change in S&P United Kingdom 150 Index

NEW YORK (PROTEXT) - Standard & Poor's will make the followingchange in the S&P United Kingdom Index after the close ofbusiness on Wednesday November 24, 1999: COLT Telecom plc will replace Orange plc following theannouncement that Mannesmann AG's acquisition of Orange wasdeclared wholly unconditional. COLT Telecom plc is a telecommunications company operating anintegrated IP based network linking financial and businesscenters throughout Europe. COLT's investable weight factor willbe 0.73. The company will be added to the TelecommunicationServices Sector. The S&P United Kingdom Index contains 150 constituentsdomiciled in the United Kingdom. The Index provides economicdiversity over 10 industry sectors. The index is calculated real-time by Reuters.
