Solar power station in Ostrozska Lhota produced 711 MWh in the first year

Uherske Hradiste 21 August (PROTEXT) - The first block of HiTechSolar, s.r.o. company’s solar power station in Ostrozska Lhota has gone a year under its full operation. As known from before to the first block there was the second block connected a few months later which started to produce electricity in May 2008. Since then the Ostrozsko area is spotting largest photovoltaic power station in central Europe featuring 1,6 MWp capacity the yearly electrical energy production of which is estimated as high as 1600 MWh.

In the opening year operation on the 702 kWp first block of the solar plant ran from technical point of view trouble-free and without other negative issues. High technology, mild winter season and enough sunshine positively reflected on the final results of yearly production. Through this alternative source 711 MWh of electrical energy was delivered to electrical power network in a period from August 2007 to July 2008.

The first block photovoltaic power station building-up in Ostrozska Lhota was financed by HiTechMedia Systems, s.r.o. company from Uherske Hradiste which thus completed their already third investment solar project which will doubtlessly contribute to eliminating air pollution and our planet’s recovery.

Investment costs that were released for realization of this remarkable project, after increase of the installed power capacity from originally proposed 600 kWp up to 702 kWp in the end, climbed as high as below one hundred million Czech crowns. Larger part of the project investment was remitted from a long-term loan provided by Commercial Bank while the remaining little part the investor reimbursed from their own financial sources. A grant by OPPP (Operational Program Renewable Resources) contributed significantly to even better economy of the entire photovoltaic project.
