The factory has been closedfollowing the company entering into receivership last year aftera period of declining sales and market share. Founded in 1770 in London, Yardley is a fixture in Englishculture, used by the Queen and Queen Mother themselves. Yardleyproduced such famous brands as English Lavender and otherfragrances such as Tweeds, Panache and Bond Street. Although thefactory itself will close, the brands will continue under newownership.
