KRALUV DVUR, November 1 (PROTEXT) - The Board of Directors ofthe company Ceskomoravsky cement a.s., which is a part of theglobal group HeidelbergCement, decided to interrupt theproduction in the factory in Kraluv Dvur. The interruptionincludes cement production interruption (till 30 April 2003) andcalcareous clay production (till 30 January 2003).
Ceskomoravsky cements a.s. currently has three factories inthe Czech Republic - in Mokra near Brno, in Prague - Radotin andin Kraluv Dvur. The optimization of production capacity betweenthe last two factories mentioned above was the reason forproduction interruption in Kraluv Dvur.
The production interruption goes hand in hand with someemployment reduction but the company rail tap line in Kraluv Dvurwill remain in operation, as well as packaging, palette loadingand cement supply, and it will also be necessary to ensurefacility management services in the factory as there will stillbe some company divisions, mainly cement sales division, divisionof lime and additives sales and division of central maintenance. The other companies located in the factory premises - TBGBohemia, TBG Stredni Cechy, TBG Betonpumpy, Betotech and Trans-servis are working without any changes.
Company management has prepared a social program fordismissed employees aimed at lessening consequences connectedwith loss of their employment. This social program offers muchmore than the employer is obliged to offer pursuant to LabourCode.
The production interruption in Kraluv Dvur occurred also dueto the current situation on the Czech cement market, whichresults in low-usage of current cement factories productioncapacities. That is why the company Ceskomoravsky cement a.s. hadto take these awkward measures in order to make their activitiesmore efficient and in order to ensure the future prosperity ofthe company.Contact:Miroslav JandoraDavay Communications s.r.o.mjandora@davay.cz
