for the Second Quarter Dallas (PROTEXT) - Perot Systems Corporation (NYSE: PER)reported for its second quarter, ended June 30, 1999: -- Earnings per share (diluted) of $.15 as compared to $.10per

share for the same quarter in 1998, an increase of 50%. -- Net income for the quarter of $16.9 million versus $10.1

million for the same period in the prior year, an increaseof

67%. -- Revenue for the quarter was $282.3 million, an increase of18%

over revenue of $238.6 million reported in the same periodfor

1998. -- Operating (EBIT) margin of 9.1%, Pretax Income margin of

10.0%, and Net Income margin of 6.0% were all-time highs. -- Cash balances grew to $207.9 million, from $68.3 millionas of

June 30, 1998, an increase of $139.6 million or 204%. For the six months ended June 30, 1999, Perot Systemsreported: -- Earnings per share (diluted) of $.29 as compared to $.20per

share for the same period in 1998, an increase of 45%. -- Net income of $33.1 million versus $19.1 million for thesame

period in the prior year, an increase of 73%. -- Revenue of $556.6 million, an increase of 23% over revenueof

$452.7 million reported in the same period for 1998.
