New HD DVD production line in Celakovice !

Celakovice (Czech Republic) May 9 (PROTEXT) - The joint-stock companyFERMATA of Celakovice has, as the first company in the Czech Republic,launched the new technology for production of new, third-generation ofoptical data carriers - HD DVD. This new technology is completely new asthe worldwide sale of equipment capable of playing these HD DVD discs waslaunched in USA and Japan just few weeks ago. The capacity of these newcarriers is up to 30 GB and in the future it is expected to reach as muchas 45 GB. This allows the playback at HDTV signal quality, which isrequired for LCD and plasma large screens.
