Very small enterprises (VSEs) of up to 10 employees (alsoknown as SOHO's or micro enterprises) represent 15 millioncompanies across Europe. VSEs generally have limited in-house technical know-how,restricted budgets and little time to compare and managecommunication services. Their communication needs are generallylimited to one or two telephone lines, a fax, a payment terminaland broadband Internet access. To enable service providers to benefit from the untappedpotential of the VSE VoIP market, Netcentrex has createdIPCentrex(TM) One, a turnkey solution for the creation of hostedtelephony services for very small enterprises of up to 10employees.
IPCentrex(TM) One includes a package of Integrated AccessDevice (IAD)and IP phones, combined with a single provisioningscreen per enterprise. A pre-integrated rating system enablesquick time to market for alternative operators who are notfamiliar with communication rating. The provisioning system isadapted to a reseller go-to-market model, enabling service salesthrough external agents.
Another unique feature of IPCentrex(TM) One is the simplicityof installation which means that services can be activated injust 1 hour by the enterprise. Existing phones and/or IP phones,the fax and the payment terminal are connected to the IAD whichis plugged into the existing telephone jack, giving access to theservice provider network via a standard ADSL line. Theseterminals are all detected by the automated discovery andconfiguration features of the solution.
The solution can be used with fixed line or wirelessequipment and provides a web-based self administration portal. Onthe service provider side, a web-based system for accountconfiguration and management simplifies and optimises servicedelivery. The high capacity of the Netcentrex platform enablesservice providers to increase profitability by reselling whitelabel capacity to virtual service providers and/or through thedeployment of additional consumer VoIP services.
