Electrical Division, Appoints Division Management Southfield, Mich. (PROTEXT) - Lear Corporation (NYSE: LEA)today announced the formation of a new division, Lear Electronicsand Electrical Division (LEED), and the appointment of seasonedprofessionals to the division's leadership team to support thecontinued growth of the business. The division producessuch automotive products as smart junction boxes, mechatronicswitches, body control modules and remote keyless entry forautomakers around the world. D. William Pumphrey has been appointed LEED President,reporting to Douglas D. DelGrosso, Lear Senior Vice President andPresident -- North American Operations. Pumphrey joined Lear in 1999 as Vice President of Sales &Marketing for Lear's Chrysler Division. He previously had workedat United Technologies Automotive (UTA) since 1991 in suchpositions as Manager of Business Strategy & Development, ProgramManager, and Vice President of the DaimlerChrysler Customer Team.He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from KenyonCollege in Ohio and a Masters of Business Administration degreefrom the University of Michigan. Pumphrey and his wife, Julie,reside in Brighton, Michigan with their daughter.
