Lear Corporation Appoints Patrick Murray Vice President

(PROTEXT) - Lear Corporation (NYSE: LEA)today announced the appointment of Patrick Murray to VicePresident - Industrial Design & Product Analysis for theTechnology Division. (Photo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/19990608/DETU012available later this morning ) In this new position, Murray is responsible for managing thecompany's Industrial Design Studios at the World Headquarters andTechnology Center as well as the Product Analysis group whichstudies current market segments and trends to help determine thefuture interior products Lear will develop with its customers. Healso oversees Lear's new Concept Development Studios with itstechnical staff and capability to develop 3-dimensional interiorconcepts both manually and digitally. Murray joined Lear in 1997 from the General Motors DesignCenter where he had been employed since 1984. While at GM, heheld various positions with design responsibilities in thePontiac Interior Design Studio, GM's Advanced Concept Center inThousand Oaks, California, Chevrolet Design Studios, and theColor Trim and Component Design Studios. Prior to assuming hiscurrent position, Murray was Lear's Director of Industrial Designand Concept Development Center for the Technology Division. Murray earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from theCleveland Institute of Art in Cleveland, Ohio and a Masters ofBusiness Administration degree from Wayne State University inDetroit, Michigan. He is a member of the Industrial DesignSociety of America and the Editorial Advisory Board forAutomotive & Transportation Interiors Magazine. He and his wife, Marie, reside in Bloomfield, Michigan, alongwith their four children.
