Lear Corporation Announces Executive Appointments

Southfield, Mich. (PROTEXT) - Lear Corporation (NYSE: LEA)today announced the appointment of Randall Carron to Senior VicePresident and President -- International Operations and DouglasD. DelGrosso to Senior Vice President and President -- NorthAmerican Operations. Both will report to Robert E. Rossiter, LearPresident and Chief Operating Officer. He most recentlywas President -- Asia Pacific Operations. In his new post as President -- North American Operations,DelGrosso will direct Lear's Ford Division, General MotorsDivision, Chrysler Division and Interior Systems Group. He mostrecently was President -- Interior Systems Group with theadditional responsibility of overseeing Lear's recent acquisitionof United Technologies Automotive. Carron joined Lear in 1992 as Program Manager for thecompany's GM Division, where he held positions of increasingresponsibility, including Director of Sales, Vice President andVice President of Operations. Carron earned a bachelor's degree from Wayne State Universityand a masters in business administration from Michigan StateUniversity. Carron and his family live in Oberursel, Germany. DelGrosso joined Lear in 1984 as a design engineer andadvanced to positions of increasing responsibility, includingGroup Engineering Manager, Vice President of Operations for thecompany's GM Division, and President of Lear's Chrysler Division,and President of Lear's GM Division. He was appointed a SeniorVice President of the company on July 1, 1998. DelGrosso earned a bachelor of science degree in mechanicalengineering from Lawrence Technological University and a mastersin business administration from Michigan State University. Healso is a member of the board of trustees of LawrenceTechnological University of Southfield, Michigan. DelGrosso and his family reside in Troy, Michigan.
