Scientific Advisory Board SAN DIEGO (ots-PRNewswire) - Cymer, Inc. (Nasdaq: CYMI) todayannounced the formation of its Scientific Advisory Boardcomprised of leading semiconductor industry experts. The charterof the new board is to review Cymer's advanced, next-generationresearch and development programs and help guide the developmentof leading-edge technology solutions to the semiconductorindustry consistent with the never-ending demands of Moore's Law. The formation of the advisory board, while complementingCymer's existing scientific talent, adds expertise in the areasof advanced semiconductors, lithographic technology, and highvoltage power pulse systems. New board members include DanielBirx, Ph.D., President of Advanced Pulse Power Technologies,Nigel Farrar, Ph.D., Project Leader, Advanced Lithography ofHewlett-Packard, Joseph Langston, Department Manager, AdvancedLithography of Intel, William Oldham, Ph.D., Professor ofElectrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University ofCalifornia-Berkeley, and Steef Wittekoek, Ph.D. ExecutiveScientist, ASML, retired.
