John Williams Appointed President and CEO of AUCS Communications Services

Hoofddorp, Netherlands (PROTEXT) - AUCS CommunicationsServices, the European-based global services provider, todayannounced the appointment of John Williams (52) as President andChief Executive Officer. He succeeds Aad van Waveren, who willstep down from his position at the end of November. John Williamsis currently Vice-President of Global Network Solutions forInfonet Services Corporation, California, USA. On 30 September 1999, an agreement was reached between Infonetand Unisource NV under which Infonet will now manage AUCSCommunications Services. The two companies are currentlyfinalising a joint business plan focused at giving clients a muchbroader and deeper portfolio of products and services and accessto The World Network(R), Infonet's backbone network which todayreaches more than 180 countries and over 3,000 cities worldwide. As Head of Infonet's Global Network Solutions, John Williamswas responsible for over 400 staff and a turnover of over US$400million per year. Prior to his activities with Infonet, John wasSr. Vice President Communication Systems Division for CACI in theUSA and has also held senior positions in the airline industry.He holds a degree in Civil and Electrical Engineering from WestVirginia University and in Business Administration from MiamiDade College.
