ISI(R) Introduces BIOSIS Previews(R) Via the Web of Science(R)

Philadelphia (PROTEXT) - ISI (Institute for ScientificInformation(R)) and BIOSIS announce that they will jointlyproduce a Web-based version of BIOSIS Previews for the ISI Web ofScience. The new product, targeted for release in March 2000,will provide subscribers to both products with the ability tolink between database records and the full-text documents fromthe Web of Science via ISI Links. Updated weekly, the new product will offer access to fiveyears of data, which will initially cover the period from 1995through 2000. Subscribers to both the Web of Science and BIOSISPreviews will be able to link directly between the two databases.The Web of Science, renowned for its intuitive navigational andretrieval features, provides a new platform for BIOSIS Previews,a database universally acknowledged for its comprehensive lifescience abstracting and indexing features. BIOSIS Previews is an electronic database that containsreferences to primary journal literature of nearly 5,500 journalson vital biological research, medical research findings, anddiscoveries of new organisms. The Web of Science grants users Web access to the ISI CitationDatabases: Science Citation Index Expanded(TM), Social SciencesCitation Index(R), and the Arts & Humanities Citation Index(R).
