INTERNET OnLine welcomed the 150,000th customer to the service QUICK.cz

PRAGUE, Jan 11 (PROTEXT) - INTERNET OnLine, a division ofCESKY TELECOM, this week welcomed the 150,000th customer to theQUICK.cz service - free connection to the Internet. The constantincrease in connection to the Internet through QUICK.cz justconfirms all the predictions concerning the growing number ofusers in the Czech Republic of this global network.
The Christmas season also made a contribution to achievingthis number of customers, when, from 20 December 2000 to 2January 2001, Internet OnLine registered an increased number ofnew customers precisely for this service QUICK.cz - the fastestInternet free of charge. In this period, more than 15,000 newusers joined. On average, this is approximately a 15% increase innew users daily, when compared with the period previous to this.
INTERNET OnLine began to offer free access to the Internetnetwork on 1 October 2000 through the single nationwide number0971103333. The introduction of this new service onto theInternet market followed a significant increase in connectivityto foreign countries as well as a further strengthening ofnetwork backbone backup. The increased number of optimallypositioned access points throughout the whole republic enablesquick and easy access to the network for anyone who is interestedfrom anywhere in the country.
