Ingram Micro CIO to Assume Expanded Role as CTO Retires

Richard J. Kish, senior vice president, Ingram Micro and CIO,now leads Ingram Micro's worldwide IT department and thecompany's IT infrastructure and systems development. He willretain accountability for defining and further developing IngramMicro's business applications and electronic-commerce solutionsas co-chair with Ingram Micro Worldwide Marketing Vice PresidentGuy Abramo of the eSolutions Group. Kish joined the company in December 1997 from Barnesand Noble Inc., where he served as vice president and CIO andlaunched the company's highly successful e-commerce Web site. David M. Carlson, senior vice president, Ingram Micro and CTO,has retired from an active management role in the company.Carlson joined Ingram Micro in February 1997. Jerre L.
