IBS AG meets target figures for 2000

HÖHR-GRENZHAUSEN, 5 January 2001 (PROTEXT/ots) - IBS AG (SIN622 840) has more than met its target figures for the financialyear just ended. Based on provisional figures and the favourabledevelopment of business during 2000, the company expects sales toincrease by more than 100% to approx. 19m euros, which is higherthan budgeted for, and EBIT to climb by approx. 130% (to some 2meuros) compared to the previous year. The company had targetedsales of 16.5m euros and an operating profit (EBIT) of 2m euros.

As order books are filling quickly in all areas of thebusiness, the budgeted figures for 2001 are currently beingrevised and will be announced in due course.

IBS AG thus continues to grow apace. The definitive annualresults will be made public at the end of March once the auditorshave completed their work.

The company is one of the leading suppliers of Internet-basedstandard software systems and consultancy services to industrialquality and production management in Europe.

IBS AG was founded in 1982 in Höhr-Grenzhausen near Coblenz,Germany and has been listed on the German Neuer Markt inFrankfurt since 21 June, 2000. The company is among Europe'sleading providers of Internet-based standard software systems andconsulting services for industrial quality and productionmanagement.

With the CAQ=QSYS(R) product group for quality management, aswell as PRISMA(R), the system for monitoring and controlproduction processes, IBS products are already being usedsuccessfully in more than 650 locations in 18 countries. Productexpansion, part of quality chain management (QCM) and customerrelationship management (CRM), likewise promises to secure asimilarly advantageous position in the market of the future, e-business.

Strategic alliances have resulted from the companies takenover by IBS this year, Metec and Protagon, which have been mergedto form IVT AG on 1 January, 2001, as well as with Sinic undC.O.S. The above-mentioned product and service spectrum has beenexpanded and augmented through these strategic alliances. Evengreater customer benefit is achieved through the resultingimplementation of the cross-selling concept combined with theoffer of additional products from the IBS Group, thus leading toa further increase in customer satisfaction. IBS Group'sclientele numbers approximately 2,000.

IBS AG's most important customers are well-knownrepresentatives of the automobile, packaging, consumption/brandarticles and process industries (biotechnology, chemistry,pharmaceuticals), including Schmalbach-Lubeca, Qiagen, BMW, TetraPak, Ford, Johnson Controls, AGFA, Ciba, BP and HILTI.

IBS AG maintains international partnerships (e.g.: SkyvaInternational, Orsi Group, SAP, ORACLE, SVC, TÜV-Rheinland,Bäurer...), which will be further expanded and augmented in thefuture. In addition to increasing the company's degree offamiliarity, the goal of the cooperation is to increaseopportunities for use of its products. The strategic alliancesmake it easier for the company to quickly advance theinternational expansion of its customer base. A U.S. presence isof primary importance to IBS AG, as this market has enormouspotential.
