Hannover Fairs USA and friendlyway open Wireless Cyber Café at CeBIT 2002 / Internet access service for U.S. exhibitors and their guests at CeBIT 2002, Hannover

MUNICH 7. 3. 2002, Germany (ots/PROTEXT) - friendlyway hasbeen awarded the contract to set up a Wireless Cyber Café for USexhibitors and their guests at this year's CeBIT. Visitors to theWireless Cyber Café can make use of numerous friendlyway Internetaccess stations, which will provide up-to-date news and e-mailfacilities.

Installations of this kind have been successfully implementedby friendlyway both in the U.S. and in a number of Europeancountries. Cyberlounges have proved a major attraction for tradefair delegates and exhibitors. At the last Systems, approximately20 friendlyway Internet access systems were set up in looseformation as a Cyberlounge, and thousands of visitors used themto surf the Internet.

The Wireless Cyber Café will be open March 13 - 20, 2002 inthe USA Software & Internet Solutions Pavilion in Hall 7, standC06, of the Hannover trade fair centre. New friendlyway items ondisplay at CeBIT 2002 are to be found at the friendlyway stand inHall 6, Stand H46: these include the "videomail station", "mediamemorial stone", "speaking advertising display" and "artificialbank consultant".

The online/offlinemegatrend means that banks and retail clients will bring e-commerce into conventional branches or retail outlets. Themobile/stationary megatrend will see these e-commerce offersbeing subject to control and access via mobile terminals. Forexample, customers will transfer product information onto theirmobile computer electronically and take it home with them.friendlyway develops technological solutions for this purposewhich are marketed via the friendlyway partner network throughoutEurope, in Asia and also in the U.S. through its own subsidiary,friendlyway Inc. in San Francisco.
