FEI Company Names Sales and Service Line-Up

HILLSBORO, Ore. (PROTEXT) - FEI Company (Nasdaq: FEIC) todayannounced the appointment of James P. Fraine as Vice President-Sales and Service effective October 1, 1999. Mr. Fraine willassume responsibility for the Company's North American Sales andService operations. Until joining FEI, Mr. Fraine served as Vice President Salesof Integrated Measurement Systems, Inc., a position he held since1994. Mr. Fraine was the National Sales Manager at Teradyne,Inc., an ATE company, from 1989 to 1994 and Account Manager forGenRad, Inc. from 1976 to 1986. FEI Company President and Chief Executive Officer Vahe'Sarkissian commented on the appointment, "Jim brings a breadth ofknowledge of the semiconductor capital equipment market and willhelp us continue to drive all our products in the semiconductorand data storage markets." The Company also announced that John A. Doherty will assumethe position of Vice President-Sales and Service, Asia PacificRegion. Since 1997 Mr. Doherty has been Senior Vice President,Marketing, at Micrion Corporation, a company he helped found, in1983. From 1983 to January 1997 Mr. Doherty was Vice President,Marketing of Micrion. FEI Company recently merged with MicrionCorporation. Mr. Sarkissian stated, "Jack's skills in marketing to the AsiaPacific Region is part of the value the Micrion merger brings toFEI." Dr. Bernd Volbert will continue in his role as Vice PresidentSales and Service for Europe. Mr. Sarkissian stated, "Our strong position in Europe isenabling FEI to expand our business in the microelectronicsector."
