About SAR
Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) is the unit of measurement forthe amount of radio frequency (RF) absorbed by the body whenusing a personal wireless device, such as a cellular phone. Allwireless phones marketed in the United States must meet thesafety limit of 1.6 W/kg (watts per kilogram) in 1 gram oftissue, set by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).Wireless phones marketed in Europe must meet the safety limit of2.0 W/kg in 10 grams of tissue, set by the InternationalCommission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP).Ethertronics' embedded antennas comply with both industrystandards and have a decreased SAR rating.
