EDS Appoints Former Oracle Executive to Lead International Growth

London (PROTEXT) - EDS (NYSE: EDS) announced today that PhilipCrawford, a 48-year-old former Oracle senior executive andleading IT visionary in Europe, will join the company asPresident, EDS International. Under Crawford's leadership, thecompany intends to expand its visibility and focus oninternational business growth and development, particularlyacross Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific regions. In his new role Crawford will be responsible for supportingand enabling the aggressive growth of EDS' business ininternational markets across all service categories includinghigh-value management consulting, electronic business, businessprocess management, and broad-based information solutions. Hewill assist in developing EDS' image and reputation among keyinternational constituencies through successful, value-addedrelationships with clients, investors, and media. He will beparticularly valuable supporting the company's drive into theelectronic business marketplace. Crawford joined Oracle Corporation in 1995 where he was seniorvice- president, UK & Ireland. Under his management Oracle's UKbusiness grew from $270 million to almost $1 billion. Prior toOracle he held a series of senior management positions with Bullstarting in 1988 as project groups director for Bull UK andfinally in 1993 as chief executive, Bull UK & Ireland. He hasalso worked for Management Science America and for GKN in boththe UK and the USA. He is currently a non-executive director forFugro N.V., Magus International, KSS, MBA and Beenz.com. He is agraduate of Sheffield Polytechnic and lives in Cranbourne,England.
