Test System MUNICH, Germany (PROTEXT) - Teradyne announced today thatDELTA Microelectronics has selected the INTEGRA J750 VLSI TestSystem. DELTA, headquartered in Denmark, offers a wide range ofservices in testing and calibration, training courses, consultancy and certification. DELTA has purchased the INTEGRAJ750 Test Systems for testing complex VLSI devices. The INTEGRAJ750 is a highly-integrated series of test systems designed forhigh parallel testing of devices in the low-end and mid-rangeVLSI markets and will be used for digital and mixed-signalASIC's, microcontrollers, FPGAs, PLDs. The systems will be shipto DELTA's facility in Denmark in August 1999. Eskild Jensen of DELTA Microelectronics said, "The INTEGRAJ750 Test System will help us manage our customer's dynamicdevice ramp-ups. The system's easy-to-use software developmenttools and support for high-pin count devices, makes it an idealplatform for our business. In addition, the J750s small footprintand high parallel test throughput helps lower our cost to test.We also appreciate Teradyne's experience and global support forfabless semiconductor and subcon customers. We have Catalyst andA5 test systems installed on our production floor and have alwaysreceived excellent service from Teradyne's support organization." The INTEGRA J750 delivers up to 1,024 digital channels into azero footprint system entirely contained within a test head. Itshigh-throughput parallel testing capabilities help deliver 95%parallel test efficiency for up to 32 devices. The system alsofeatures IG-XL test software, the semiconductor ATE industry'sfirst test development suite combining the power and performanceof the latest PC technology and Windows NT operating system withthe familiarity of standard Windows productivity tools, likeMicrosoft Excel and Visual Basic. Its small footprint and highparallel test throughput provides the most economical approach totesting complex VLSI devices with embedded memory and analogcells.
