Callaway Golf Staff Professional Kyi Hla Han Wins Asian PGA Tour Order of Merit

CARLSBAD, Calif. (PROTEXT) - Callaway Golf (NYSE: ELY) StaffProfessional Kyi Hla Han clinched the Asian PGA Tour Order ofMerit today by making the cut at the tour's season-endingchampionship event in Shenzhen, China. Han becomes the thirdCallaway Golf Staff Professional to finish 1999 atop his tour'smoney list, joining Colin Montgomerie (PGA European Tour) andBruce Fleisher (Senior PGA Tour). Entering the Omega PGA Championship, Han had won $192,920 in14 events this year. The only competitor with a chance to catchHan missed the cut at the tour championship. "Every time I tee it up now against the best players in theworld I have the confidence to try and beat them," said Han, 38,who plans to play several events on the PGA European Tour in2000. "Much of my confidence comes from my Callaway Golf clubs.My goal next year will be to try and win a big tournament earlyon in the year. I have a lot of hard work ahead of me, but I feelvery good now about my game." The Myanmar-born Han won the China Open earlier this year incommanding fashion, winning by seven strokes after birdieing thefirst five holes of the final round.
