to His Fourth Senior PGA Tour Title CARLSBAD, Calif. (PROTEXT) - Callaway Golf (NYSE: ELY) StaffProfessional Bruce Fleisher is quickly becoming one of theSenior Tour's premier closers. So far in his remarkable rookieseason of 1999, Fleisher has won every Senior PGA Tour event inwhich he was leading or tied for the lead entering the finalround. He extended that streak this past weekend by winning hisfourth senior title, the BellSouth Senior Classic at Opryland. "Could I have imagined this? No, not really," said Fleisher,50. "Everything has come together for me. My driving, iron play,putting...it's all been fantastic." After winning once in his entire career on the regular PGATour, Fleisher is atop the senior money list with $1,104,592 inearnings this year. In his most recent victory, Fleisher used 13Callaway golf clubs, including a Callaway titanium driver, BigBertha(R) Steelhead(TM) 4-wood and 5-wood, Big Bertha X-12(R)Irons and Wedges and an Odyssey Dual Force 330 Putter. Fleishercurrently leads the Senior PGA Tour in five statisticalcategories: All-Around, Scoring Average, Putting, Sand Saves andBirdies. Fleisher began his run at the BellSouth Senior Classic titlewith a second-round 63, which included nine birdies in a bogey-free round. In the final round, Fleisher set the tone with aneagle on No. 10, then rolled in a 12-foot birdie putt on No. 17for a one-stroke lead heading to the final tee. Fleisher stripedhis drive to the center of the difficult 18th fairway, thennearly holed out his 5-iron approach from 180 yards. Two puttslater he earned the win and the first-place check of $210,000. Callaway clubs were also prominent on the leaderboard at theLPGA Tour Wegmans Rochester International. The winner used aCallaway titanium driver, a Callaway 3-wood and a Big BerthaSteelhead 5-wood to record her fifth win of the LPGA Tour season.The winner closed with birdies on the final three holes, whichshe credited to her long, accurate tee shots. Callaway Golf StaffProfessional Cindy McCurdy finished one stroke back after afinal-round 68. And on the PGAEuropean Tour, Callaway Staff Professional Pierre Fulke finishedthird at the German Open.
