Adobe Systems Appoints New Vice President of European

Region PARIS (PROTEXT) - Adobe Systems Incorporated (Nasdaq: ADBE)today announced the promotion of Didier Cocherel to VicePresident of Sales and Support for the company's Europeangeography. Cocherel is responsible for running the day-to-daysales and support operations of the European region and reportsto Graham Freeman, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales andSupport. "The European market is critical to Adobe's overall successand Didier's extensive software experience in this geography willhelp lead the region into its next phase of growth," saidFreeman. Cocherel has been with Adobe since 1995, joining the companythrough its merger with Aldus. Since joining the company, he hasheld the positions of Sales Director for Adobe France, GeneralManager for Adobe France and Middle East and, most recently,Regional General Manager for Western and Southern Europe. Whileat Aldus, Cocherel held the position of Sales Director for Franceand Southern Europe. Prior to joining Aldus in 1992, he heldvarious international sales positions with Borland Internationaland Olivetti. He has a BA and an MA in Management from the ParisDauphine University. Derek Gray, former Senior Vice President and General Managerof Adobe Europe, will report to John Warnock, CEO and Chairman,as Senior Vice President. Gray will work on business developmentmatters, including identifying potential investment opportunitiesand evaluating and developing a business plan for specificvertical markets. "Derek's leadership helped establish Adobe's strong presencein the European market. We're looking forward to hiscontributions in other significant areas of growth for Adobe,"said Warnock.
