3TS Capital Partners invests in BKS Czech Cable TV Venture

Prague June 13 (PROTEXT) - BKS Capital Partners (BKS), a private equitygroup focusing on Central and Eastern Europe, and 3TS Capital Partners, oneof the leading venture capital and private equity firms in Central andEastern Europe, today announced the closing of a EUR 3 million equityinvestment in BKS Czech cable TV venture. 3TS Capital Partners has investedthrough the 3TS Cisco Growth Fund.

BKS Capital Partners through this venture has acquired 3 additional cableTV companies in May (Sater, RTV-5 and KTVM), bringing to 6 the number ofcompanies acquired within 3 months. All these companies will be mergedlegally and operationally during the summer. The networks are beingupgraded, and the services will be offered under a unified brand "Nej-TV".Nej-TV already covers 24 towns and 28.000 subscribers. BKS sticks to itsobjective to reach 100.000 subscribers within 18 months.

"Cable TV networks are subject to an in-depth transformation resulting fromthe necessity to offer much higher internet connectivity at lower price,and digital TV programs. This mutation requires strong investment in thenetwork and in new technologies which opens the door to marketconsolidation opportunities," said Nicolas Boissin, CEO of BKS CapitalPartners.
