FEI-Micrion Merger Receives FTC Clearance

Hillsboro, Oregon (ots-PRNewswire) - FEI Company (Nasdaq:
FEIC) and Micrion Corporation (Nasdaq: MICN), leading suppliers
of charged particle beam equipment for the worldwide
semiconductor and data storage industries, announced that they
received antitrust clearance for their proposed merger from the
Federal Trade Commission (FTC). Shareholders of each company
approved the merger on June 10, 1999.
FEI President and CEO, Vahe A. Sarkissian said, "We are
