The winner relied on the power and accuracy of his Callaway Golf(R) titanium driver and Big Bertha(R) Steelhead(TM) 3-wood along with the precision of his Odyssey(R) TriForce(TM) Putter to overcome a 10-stroke deficit in the final round. The 30-year-old Scottish winner used his Odyssey TriForce Putter to sink birdie putts on the final two playoff holes to clinch the historic victory. His 10-foot birdie putt on the third playoff hole gave him a one-stroke lead heading into the final hole of the playoff. On that final hole, he struck a perfect drive that helped set up the three-foot birdie putt on the 18th green that completed his dramatic comeback. The winner's Big Bertha Steelhead 3-wood was one of 72 Callaway Golf fairway woods (all models) put in play at the British Open, according to Sports Marketing Survey, Ltd. The nearest competitor had 25 fairway woods in play at the championship.
