Playoff Victory for Annika Sorenstam Caps Three-Win

Weekend for Odyssey / TriForce Family of Putters Earns Eighth Victory of the Year CARLSBAD, Calif. (ots-PRNewswire) - Annika Sorenstam used her Odyssey(R) Dual Force(R) Rossie(R) 2 Putter to roll in a 7-foot birdie putt on the third hole of a sudden death playoff for a victory at the Michelob Light Classic. Sorenstam, who has now won the event three consecutive years, birdied two of the last three holes to force the playoff. Her opponent missed her birdie putt, and Sorenstam took advantage of the opening to claim the 17th victory of her LPGA Tour career and her fourth win in the last six years at St. Louis. Elsewhere, the winner of the Greater Milwaukee Open earned the second PGA Tour title of his rookie season with his Odyssey TriForce 2 Putter. The winner set a tournament record with his 20-under-par total while becoming the first rookie in PGA Tour history to top the $1,000,000 earnings mark.
