PRAGUE, Nov 10 (APROTEXT) - Austerlitz battle anniversary
Brno, 8 November - Organizers: Mohyla Míru - Austerlitz, a
company dedicated to the public good, represented by František
Kopecký, the Mayor of Tvarožná u Brna. The municipality of
Slavkov, represented by Mgr. Petr Kostík, the Mayor of Slavkov.
Members of the Austerlitz 2005 Project: Municipality of Tvarožná
u Brna, Napoleonic Union of the Czech Republic, represented by
MUDr. Miroslav Novotný, and Davay Communications s.r.o.,
represented by Miroslav Jandora.
This year brought success in joining many subjects and
municipalities, with Vyškov being brought in. The entire event
will last for ten days, climaxing on 2 December 2000 with the
traditional reenactment of the Battle of the Three Emperors in
Tvarožná u Brna and a march by the armies in Slavkov, near Brno.

Reenactment of the Battle of the Three Emperors - Tvarožná u
Brna, 2 December 2000, 1:00 pm
This year, 1,000 military history club members from all of
Europe (we were forced to exclude a few hundred interested
parties) will participate in the reenactment of the Battle of the
Three Emperors under Santon Hill.
Thanks to a partnership with DPMB, a.s. (the Brno Mass
Transit Authority), free shuttle buses will be available for the
public between the Rohlenek Main Train Station and the venue of
the event. These buses will be reinforced to meet public interest
(10:00 am to 7:00 pm). We are informing the public of the
shortage of parking spaces at the site of the event, where there
will be many traffic restrictions. At the same time, we would
like to point out that dogs will not be happy there, due to
firing and pyrotechnics.
The entire event will be insured by Pojišťovna Kooperativa,
a.s.
Tickets cost 99 CZK, and children up to 120 cm tall are
admitted at no charge. The ticket price traditionally includes 2
dl of mulled wine or a warm, non-alcoholic drink, and other small
tokens.
This year, tickets will not be sold in advance, they will be
sold only on the day of the reenactment of the battle - 2
December 2000.
The author of the reenactment scenario is MUDr. Miroslav
Novotný of the Napoleonic Union of the Czech Republic.
The organizers were able to contact the Franco-Czech Chamber
of commerce, which has recognized the festivities as the "event
of the year" and will send several buses with representatives of
French companies doing business in the Czech Republic. In the
words of the general director of this organization, Mr. Hubata-
Vacek, it is anticipated that 120 persons, including the French
ambassador to the Czech Republic and members of the diplomatic
corps. This group will first learn the details of this famous
battle at the Slavkov Castle from General Boy of the Royal
Military Academy in Saint Cyr, where the Battle of the Three
Emperors is reenacted each year. They group will then go on to
Tvarožná to see the reenactment of the Battle of the Three
Emperors. In the afternoon, the members of the French group will
take part in the presentation at Mohyla Míru (Burial Mound of
Peace), where they will be informed of the plan for refurbishing
the museum. The evening will wind up with a visit to the Stará
pošta pub near Kovalovice. We expect that we will be able to
begin a cooperation with French firms after years of trying.
