Classics International Entertainment, Inc. Announces Product Introductions at Midem 2000

DALLAS (PROTEXT) - Edward W. Sample, CEO, Classics
International Entertainment, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: CIEI),
announced today that CIE's recently acquired subsidiary,
Zideo.com will introduce a comprehensive presentation of its data
compression technology at Midem 2000.
Midem is the largest independent gathering of music and
entertainment industry executives in the world and will be held
in Cannes, Frances from January 23rd through January 27th.
Don Ashley, President of CIE, says, "Midem will be our major
unveiling. We have developed an extensive technology product line
under our new 'PiranhaByte' brand and will utilize this
technology to empower our recently acquired Internet marketing
group, Zideo.com."
Zideo will unveil its video compression, high ratio lossy,
near lossless steerable compression, and high ratio lossless
compression for audio and images at Midem 2000. The technology is
suitable for streaming and downloading audio and video on-demand
at ratios and resolution qualities previously not available.
Mr. Ashley explains, "Imagine reducing a 1.8 gigabyte video
file to just 2.3 megabytes or reducing a 44 megabyte audio file
to just 4.4 megabytes without any loss. Images can be compressed
for web applications at rates of 200:1 or greater. The
implications for the Internet are astounding."
All "PiranhaByte" compression software products have been
developed on the Linux operating system and have been
successfully ported to Microsoft and Apple operating platforms
for broad market acceptance and utilization.
