NTT Communicationware Selects dynamicsoft's SIP Software Platform to Build Enhanced Applications
12.10.1999, 21:37
Geneva, Telecom99 (PROTEXT) - Using dynamicsoft's
eConvergence(TM) Server Solutions, NTT Communicationware enhanced
its NTTCOM-SCP to include Internet Call Waiting
NTT Communicationware selected dynamicsoft's SIP software
platform to build enhanced service applications for its service
control point (NTTCOM-SCP). By using dynamicsoft's SIP
technology, NTT Communicationware was able to build an Internet
call waiting application prototype for demonstration to its
NTTCOM-SCP in a short period of time. NTT Communicationware's
NTTCOM-SCP allows new network service over the conventional
telephone, mobile and IP-based networks and is expected to be a
vital application in the new deregulated Japanese marketplace.
dynamicsoft's SIP technology is the first commercial
implementation of the IETF's Session Initiation Protocol (SIP).
The SIP standard provides call control and signaling architected
for IP-based networks. Leveraging the SIP standard, dynamicsoft's
eConvergence(TM) Server Solutions are a collection of server
technologies that provide customers with scaleable, flexible and
interoperable platforms to develop enhanced applications and
services. By using dynamicsoft's eConvergence Server Solutions,
service providers are able to rapidly deliver enhanced
applications, such as Internet call waiting and personal call
management.
"dynamicsoft's SIP software platform allowed us to quickly
build enhanced service applications. As for the demonstration at
Telecom99, we could create the service prototype in less than one
month," said Hideki Sasaki, NGN Architect, NTT Communicationware
Corp. "As the Japanese market continues to deregulate, it will be
important for NTT Communicationware to maintain its edge by
delivering enhanced services quickly to communications service
providers. dynamicsoft's scaleable, reliable and interoperable
products will allow us to stay ahead of our competition and
provide tremendous services to our customer base."
"Enhanced services will quickly define market leadership for
converged networks," said Dennis Specht, dynamicsoft Co-CEO. "NTT
Communicationware understands this market dynamic and is using
our technology to quickly differentiate themselves in today's
global telephony market."
The NTTCOM-SCP is the first turnkey SCP solution for
communications service providers (CSPs) and enables CSPs to
deploy various services into the deregulated Japanese public
networks. NTT Communicationware will demonstrate its NTTCOM-SCP
at Sun Microsystems stand (Hall 4, #4263) at Telecom99 in Geneva.
NTTCOM-SCP will be available in Q4 2000.
