Annika Sorenstam Highlights Two-Win Weekend for Odyssey Putters / LPGA, Senior PGA Tour Events Won With Dual Force Models

CARLSBAD, Calif. (PROTEXT) - Odyssey(R) Dual Force(R) Putters
notched a pair of tour victories over the weekend as the choice
of winners on both the Senior PGA and LPGA tours. Odyssey Golf, a
division of Callaway Golf Company (NYSE: ELY), has now tallied 33
victories on the world's five major professional tours in 1999.
Annika Sorenstam won the New Albany Golf Classic using an
Odyssey Dual Force Rossie 2 Putter for her second victory of the
LPGA Tour season. Sorenstam birdied four of the final seven holes
to clinch the win. Emilee Klein used an Odyssey TriForce(R) 1
Putter to finish third at the event. According to the Darrell
Survey Company, Odyssey Putters were the most-played putters at
the New Albany Golf Classic.
On the Senior PGA Tour, the winner of the Vantage Championship
used an Odyssey Dual Force 554 Putter to become the 11th first-
time winner on the senior tour this year. He shot 15-under par
over three rounds to earn the victory. Bruce Fleisher finished in
second place using an Odyssey Dual Force 664 Putter. Fleisher
regained his position atop the senior money list with the second-
place finish. According to the Darrell Survey Company, Odyssey
Putters were the most-played putters at the Vantage Championship.
Through Oct. 3, Odyssey Putters are the most-played putters on
the world's five major professional tours combined in 1999.
According to the Darrell Survey Company and Sports Marketing
Survey, Ltd., 29.1 percent of all putters used on the PGA, Senior
PGA, LPGA, NIKE and PGA European tours combined this year have
been Odyssey Putters, compared with 22.1 percent for the nearest
competitor.
