Federal-Mogul Announces Executive Appointments

Southfield, Mich. (PROTEXT) - Federal-Mogul (NYSE: FMO)
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Dick Snell announces the
following executive appointments, effective immediately:
* Bob Egan, vice president, Aftermarket Sales -- the Americas
* Steve Feeny, vice president, Investor Relations
* David Krohn, senior vice president, Brake, Chassis,
Ignition and Fuel Products
* Bonnie Price, vice president, Customer Service and
Distribution
* Rick Streicher, senior vice president, Sealing Systems,
Visibility and Systems Protection Products
* Mike Verwilst, senior vice president, Powertrain Systems
"We are placing seasoned executives into critical roles that
further increase our ability to service our customers and
shareholders," said Snell.
Bob Egan, Vice President, Aftermarket Sales -- the Americas
Bob Egan has been appointed vice president, Aftermarket Sales
-- the Americas. Egan will be responsible for aftermarket sales
in North and South America.
Egan was vice president of distributor sales since 1992.
Previously he was national sales manager, automotive aftermarket
-- worldwide aftermarket operations. From 1980 to 1985, he served
as industrial sales manager for the worldwide marketing group.
Egan joined Federal-Mogul in 1979 from the Chrysler Corporation
where he previously spent twelve years in a number of sales and
marketing management positions.
Steve Feeny, Vice President, Investor Relations
Steve Feeny has been appointed vice president, Investor
Relations. Feeny will be responsible for relations the company
has with the financial community and shareholders.
Feeny was vice president, aftermarket, General Products.
Previously he held the position of general manager, operations,
General Products, a post he was appointed to in 1998. During his
25-year career at Federal-Mogul, he has held positions of
increasing responsibility in both manufacturing and aftermarket
operations. He has served as manager of engine parts marketing,
controller of North American manufacturing operations, controller
of North American aftermarket operations, controller of national
grinding wheel division, financial analyst of North American
operations, manufacturing plant accounting supervisor, and
manufacturing plant labor relations representative.
David Krohn, Senior Vice President, Brake, Chassis, Ignition
and Fuel Products
David Krohn is appointed senior vice president, Brake,
Chassis, Ignition and Fuel Products. Krohn will have global
responsibilities for these product lines including operational
performance and strategic direction.
Krohn was vice president, Ignition Products -- Worldwide,
Powertrain Systems. Previously he served as vice president,
Heavy-Duty Operation -- Americas, Powertrain Systems. He joined
Federal-Mogul from the T&N organization where he was president of
AE Goetze's -- North Americas business. Krohn began his career
with T&N in 1975, working with Gould and Clevite Industries as
operations manager, and as general manager, pistons and sleeves
with JP Industries.
Bonnie Price, Vice President, Customer Service and
Distribution
Bonnie Price has been appointed vice president, Customer
Service and Distribution. Price will have global responsibilities
for aftermarket logistics and distribution, and North America's
customer service operations.
Since 1997, Price has held the position of vice president,
Investor Relations. She was investor relations manager since
1994. Before being named to that position, Price served as
customer service manager where she led the creation of the
company's central automated customer service center. She has also
held positions in distribution management as both a service
center and regional manager, as well as two sales positions.
Price joined Federal-Mogul in 1986 as a territory sales manager.
Rick Streicher, Senior Vice President, Sealing Systems,
Visibility and Systems Protection Products
Rick Streicher has been appointed senior vice president,
Sealing Systems, Visibility and Systems Protection Products.
Streicher will have global responsibilities for these product
lines including operational performance and strategic direction.
Streicher was vice president, Sealing Systems. Previously he
served as vice president, Sealing Systems -- North America.
Streicher joined Federal-Mogul from Fel-Pro, which he joined in
1992 as vice president of operations and most recently served as
executive vice president, technology and operations. Prior to
Fel-Pro, Streicher held senior management positions in
manufacturing operations at various companies including ITT and
Consolidated Aluminum (U.S. subsidiary of Swiss Aluminum).
Mike Verwilst, Senior Vice President, Powertrain Systems
Mike Verwilst is appointed senior vice president, Powertrain
Systems. Verwilst will have global responsibilities for the
company's powertrain product lines including operational
performance and strategic direction.
Verwilst was vice president, Powertrain Systems -- Americas,
since 1998. Previously, Verwilst served as vice president for
Federal-Mogul's engine and transmission products, Americas.
Before being named a vice president, since 1995 Verwilst served
as general manager -- engine and transmission products, Americas.
Prior to this, since 1993 he was the director of sales and
engineering, Powertrain Operations. He has also held positions as
regional sales manager, industry sales manager, district sales
manager, and sales engineer at Federal-Mogul. He started with the
company in 1977 as a customer service representative. Verwilst
began his professional career at Rockwell International as a
project engineer.
This organizational alignment follows the departure of Gordon
Ulsh, president and chief operating officer, Frank Tomes,
executive vice president -- General Products, and Edward J.
O'Leary, vice president, aftermarket sales -- The Americas.
