TrustPort security software for the protection of personal computers is entering the market with a brand new version. Besides traditionally superb virus protection, spam filtering, firewall protection, parental control, and other security tools, many other useful functions will be introduced. These include monitoring of potentially dangerous application activities, and access control of selected folders or media.
The new generation of antivirus software includes three products that are designed for use on portable and desktop computers, both at home and in the office. TrustPort Antivirus 2012 protects file servers against viruses and other malicious software, while continuously monitors installed applications, and can effectively stop any suspicious activity. For this purpose the new feature Application Inspector was added.
Another product in the lineup is TrustPort Internet Security 2012, which offers in addition to the already above mentioned features, the scanning of emails for viruses and spam, scanning of web pages and files being downloaded from the web, and the scanning of incoming and outgoing firewall connections. Plug-ins for email clients Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, Windows Mail, Mozilla Thunderbird have been expanded to include a module for the application Bat. Traditional part of the program is parental protection.
For more demanding users the product TrustPort Total Protection 2012 was designed. It includes all the functions of the previous two products, plus a whole group of tools designed for securing private data against theft and misuse. It enables two way encryption of files and folders, and unbeatable shredding of unused sensitive data. A new feature is access management of selected folders for specific users, and similarly one can also manage access to storage facilities. Security will also be enhanced by management of removable media and their automatic launching.
