CPAS is a turnkey service that underscores Compaq's commitment to build long-term customer relationships founded on consultative selling of the full capabilities of its IT management portfolio. CPAS is based upon a modified version of the award-winning EnterprisePRO software technology that can process information captured from Compaq-specific management information bases (MIBs). The EnterprisePRO technology provides Compaq server customers with complete, interactive information and reports about the quality and behavior of their network infrastructure and its devices, including local and wide area network links, routers, switches, and servers. In addition, EnterprisePRO provides detailed visibility into the operation and optimization of Compaq servers. Information provided by the CPAS service gives network administrators insight into various performance metrics such as average and peak utilization, errors/discards, memory, and disk space availability including disk/server trending. With this information, IT management can proactively locate and drill down into trouble areas to resolve specific performance problems. CPAS can also produce customized historical and real-time reports tailored specifically for the executive, depicting high-level information such as overall network availability, response time, network traffic and average utilization.
