WorldPort Communications Names Malcolm Arnold Vice

WorldPort Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq: WRDP) announced today that Malcolm Arnold has been appointed Vice President of European Operations. Mr. Arnold brings to WorldPort over 25 years of industry experience in planning, design, construction and operations positions with companies such as Esprit Telecom, Telecential Communications, and British Telecom. Most recently, Mr. Arnold served as Director of Networks for Esprit Telecom, where he was based in London and responsible for all design, construction and operation of the Company's European long distance telephony networks. Prior to that position, he served as Director of Networks for Telecential Communications, where he was responsible for design, construction and operation of the CATV and telephony networks within the United Kingdom. He also held the title of Chief Operating Officer for BT Vision and spent over ten years in various positions with BT Telephony Operations.
