Anne M. Tatlock Named CEO of Fiduciary Trust Company

As anticipated, Fiduciary Trust Company International, a global asset management firm with $46 billion under management, named Anne M. Tatlock chief executive officer today. Ms. Tatlock, 60, assumes the position from the firm's current chairman and CEO, Lawrence S. Huntington, who has held the CEO position since 1973. He was made chairman in 1983. Mr. Huntington will remain as chairman until his expected retirement next year. Ms. Tatlock will retain the role of president, a title she has held since 1994, and will continue to oversee all investment activities at Fiduciary. Prior to being named president, she was executive vice president in charge of institutional global equity investments. "We are delighted to see Anne take on the role of CEO, a position that is well-deserved after her many years of investing world-wide and her successful record as president," said Mr. Huntington. He noted that during Tatlock's tenure, Fiduciary's assets have grown from $28 billion to $46 billion. "Our business will continue to expand around the globe as we enter the next century, and Anne has the vision, experience and maturity to manage Fiduciary's progress," stated Mr. Huntington. Fiduciary Trust Company is one of the oldest pure investment management firms still operating independently. Since its establishment in 1931, the company has grown to employ nearly 700 people in nine offices around the world. It has one of the longest global track records for any U.S.-based manager - - having invested in the international markets since the early 1960s. Fiduciary's clients include major corporations, public funds, foundations, endowments and wealthy families in the United States, Europe and Asia. Ms. Tatlock has been managing money for 37 years, and still handles a few private accounts she has had since she first started working in the investment business at Smith Barney in the 1960s. She is a graduate of Vassar College, with a master's degree in economics from New York University. Ms. Tatlock is a trustee and chairman of the investment committee of the Vassar College Endowment Fund; chairman of the board of the Cultural Institutions Retirement System; president of the board of trustees of the American Ballet Theatre Foundation; a trustee of the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation; a trustee and chairman of the finance committee of the Teagle Foundation; a director of Fortune Brands, Inc.; and a director and chairman of the finance committee of American General Corporation. ots Original Text Service: Fiduciary Trust Company International Internet: http://www.newsaktuell.de Contact: Katherine McMillan or Jeanne Williams, both of the Compton Consulting Group, 617-451-2030 Web site: http://www.fiduciarytrust.com
