Adobe Systems Appoints New Vice President of European

Adobe Systems Incorporated (Nasdaq: ADBE) today announced the promotion of Didier Cocherel to Vice President of Sales and Support for the company's European geography. Cocherel is responsible for running the day-to-day sales and support operations of the European region and reports to Graham Freeman, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Support. "The European market is critical to Adobe's overall success and Didier's extensive software experience in this geography will help lead the region into its next phase of growth," said Freeman. Cocherel has been with Adobe since 1995, joining the company through its merger with Aldus. Since joining the company, he has held the positions of Sales Director for Adobe France, General Manager for Adobe France and Middle East and, most recently, Regional General Manager for Western and Southern Europe. While at Aldus, Cocherel held the position of Sales Director for France and Southern Europe. Prior to joining Aldus in 1992, he held various international sales positions with Borland International and Olivetti. He has a BA and an MA in Management from the Paris Dauphine University. Derek Gray, former Senior Vice President and General Manager of Adobe Europe, will report to John Warnock, CEO and Chairman, as Senior Vice President. Gray will work on business development matters, including identifying potential investment opportunities and evaluating and developing a business plan for specific vertical markets. "Derek's leadership helped establish Adobe's strong presence in the European market. We're looking forward to his contributions in other significant areas of growth for Adobe," said Warnock.
