Intellution Makes Strategic Investments in German
Operations/ Walter Immler Appointed Managing Director for Intellution GmbH Norwood, Mass. (PROTEXT)
Intellution(R), Inc., a worldwide leader in industrial automation, today announced Germany as a strategic focal point for Intellution to increase European and global market share. In order to maximize its global market leadership in industries such as the automotive, machine tooling, specialty chemical, food and beverage and original equipment manufacturing, Intellution hired Walter Immler, an experienced leader in industrial automation, to manage its German operations. "We are putting a major emphasis on German operations with aggressive plans to build a strong infrastructure and grow revenue at much higher rates than ever before," said Steve Rubin, president and CEO at Intellution, Inc. "Intellution recognizes Germany as a strategic market in Europe and our intent is to capitalize on our German successes within other parts of Europe." As part of the new German operations program, Intellution appointed Walter Immler as Managing Director for Intellution Gmbh. Immler, who holds a degree as Dipl.Ing. (MSEE) from Munich University, as well as a Dr.Ing. (Ph.D), has held key positions in several market-leading industrial automation companies during his career. Immler worked at Intel and at Siemens until 1982, at which time he joined Modicon Industrial Engineering. He became Managing Director of Modicon's German subsidiary, and later was responsible for its European sales and marketing channel. In 1990, Immler founded Integrated Control Technology (ICT), which specializes in industrial automation solutions. Immler will devote full-time attention to Intellution Gmbh, with focus on gaining market share.
