Brno June 14th (PROTEXT)
Alstom will present state-of-the-art transport and signaling solutions at the 13th edition of the international fair of railway engineering, products and services for railways and urban transport. From 19 to 21 June, experts from Alstom will be available in Ostrava, Czech Republic for all questions about transportation solutions at booth number 04 in sector A2.
Alstom Transport offers a range of rolling stock that combines technology, reliability, styling and comfort:
Coradia Lint is Alstom´s answer for non-electrified lines. Ecological in every respect and highly recyclable, the Coradia Lint is equipped with an electronic control system which makes it possible to use no more energy than is strictly needed at all times, auto-ventilating engines to reduce noise in stations, and a diesel engine with soot particle filters. The concept is very flexible: the number of cars, the configuration of seats, the number of doors and interior layouts are all variable to provide the best response to different needs. The low floor option guarantees improved access as well as greater safety and visibility on-board.
Alstom has developed a new generation of Prima locomotives for freight (maximum speed 140km/h) and for passenger (maximum speed 200km/h) transport which guarantees both unequalled performance and a wide choice of configurations.
The Prima II can tow up to 20,000 tons in multiple units. Each axle can individually guarantee 75% of the locomotive´s performance. Maintenance of the Prima II throughout its lifecycle is facilitated by an architecture that provides easier access to key parts. The Prima II therefore guarantees one of the best availability rates on the market. The configuration of the locomotive can be changed at any point of its life cycle.
Alstom´s Metropolis high capacity metro is equipped with functions that make passengers´journeys easier and more enjoyable. Metropolis was created to meet three key requirements: efficiency, flexibility and reliability. The use of advanced technology optimises the performance of the traction, bogie and braking systems, as well as door opening mechanism. The length and width of train sets, the number of cars and interior layouts are all modular to match all requirements. Outstanding communication systems facilitate maintenance and optimise safety.
Customers also have the choice between automated driving mode and driver mode with optimised cabin ergonomics and visibility.
Alstom also offers integrated systems processing all data of a rail network. Atlas is a complete on-board and ground control solution unique on the market.
In defining the ERTMS (European Rail Traffic Management System) and ETCS (European Train Control System) standards, Alstom has played a major role. Atlas is a dedicated system fully compliant with these standards to meet customer operational needs. This complete solution integrates all network´s data to adapt the speed and distance between trains, even when the train crosses a border: on-board equipment is connected to an integrated control centre which constantly exchanges data with network´s trackside equipment and interlocking systems. Atlas is the first solution to have proven the daily operations of cross-border traffic operating with ERTMS standards on freight lines and very high-speed lines (above 300 km/h). It increases operational performance and capacity reducing intervals between trains and transport times on all lines.
Atlas has also demonstrated that interoperability is possible between on-board and ground system supplied by other ERTMS suppliers.
The Czech Raildays fair is under the auspices of the Minister of Transport of the Czech Republic Pavel Dobeš and the Mayor of Ostrava Petr Kajnar.
It is organized by M-Presse plus, s.r.o., Czech Railways Co., Railway Infrastructure Administration (State organization), and ČD Cargo, a.s. in collaboration with the Urban Transport Company of Ostrava and VŠB - Technical University of Ostrava - Institute of Transport.
